Product data, managing stocks |
|
||||
Managing products is an essential part of the system. The system organizes products in a tree structure; at the bottom you have your single product which is linked to a product group, which again is linked to a product type. Bar codes and external codes allow you an easy ordering process. You can further set different product levels for as many storehouses as you wish. Several prices can be linked to products: purchase price, retail price etc. You can also set a price margin. As product types are grouped into a tree structure, properties set for a level are automatically inherited by product types at a lower level on the tree. Product quantities are measured in different units. For example you can view the stock level of a tube of colour in both bottles and milliliters. You can set rules to be used for stock keeping, and automated purchase orders. Tickets (e.g. a tanning card) have a special product type, and very useful if you offer a course of services.
